Teranga Grill: Fire-Roasted Authentic Cuisine Fueling Community Impact

The hidden crisis in Massachusetts: 1 in 3 adults experiences food insecurity—including 55% of households where adults work full-time. In our own neighborhoods, 62% of Hispanic families and 46% of Black families struggle to afford nutritious meals. Hunger doesn’t just affect the unemployed; it affects the working parent, the college graduate, the family next door.

Teranga Grill proves that exceptional food and social impact aren’t separate goals—they’re one mission.

We serve Boston’s only premium multi-cuisine halal experience, bringing together Mediterranean, soul, Indo-Pakistani spice, Mexican, and West African tradition in every thoughtfully crafted dish. But here’s what makes us different: every meal you enjoy helps fund food access and empowerment for Nubian Square families.

Owned by the Boston Innovation Community charity, 50% of our profits go directly to fighting food insecurity—while uplifting dignity. We’re building a future where everyone in our community has access to nutritious, culturally authentic meals and the economic stabilization that come with food security. Households experiencing hunger report needing just $60 more weekly to meet basic food needs—and we’re helping close that gap, one meal at a time.

Chef Barry’s three decades of culinary excellence meet cutting-edge operations to create something rare: a restaurant where your dining experience creates lasting community impact. When you eat here, you’re not just a customer—you’re part of building the Boston we all deserve. One where great food and human dignity go hand in hand.
